No Doubts for Payne, Super Falcons Can


Super Falcons star, Toni Payne is optimistic about the team’s chances at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

After securing a spot in the Round of 16 with a goalless draw against the Republic of Ireland, Payne expressed confidence in the team’s ability to go all the way in the competition.

Under the guidance of head coach Randy Waldrum, the Super Falcons have displayed impressive form, remaining unbeaten in the tournament with one win and two draws from their three group stage matches.

Speaking after the game in Monday, Payne expressed optimism in the growing strength and belief among ge players.

“If we continue to play as we have and improve on each game, we can go all the way to the final,” the midfielder said.

“We are a team of wonderful and hard-working players, and together we can achieve our goals.”

In the Round of 16 at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, the Super Falcons will face either European champions England or Denmark.

The match is scheduled to take place next Monday at the Brisbane Stadium in Australia.
