Nnadozie delighted with return of the NWPL

Date:

Rivers Angels and Falconets goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has expressed happiness with the return of the Nigeria Women Premier League (NWPL).

The Women’s top fight had been on break due to the 2018 FIFA World Cup and FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. Subsequently, those events are over now.

In view of this development therefore, the second round of the 2018 NWPL season will resume on 12th September, reports Footballlive.ng.

According to goalkeeper Nnadozie, who featured for Nigeria at the recently concluded U20 Women’s World Cup, the development is good for the game.

“I’m happy with the return of the NWPL. It’s good for the development of the game,” Nnadozie told Footballlive.ng.

“Special thanks to the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) for ensuring that this was a reality.”

“For me it’s countdown to the restart of the league. I can’t wait to get on to the pitch for Rivers Angels.

Chiamaka Nnadozie is expected to be included in the Super Falcons team for the 2018 African Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) in Ghana.
