Nasarawa United head Coach, Bala Nikyu praised his team’s tenacity in Wednesday’s 1-1 draw with Enyimba in Aba.
Enyimba went ahead in the first half through Chukwuemeka Obioma, who netted from the spot, making it consecutive goals for Finidi George’s side.
Enyimba would, however, be reminded of how their last game against Bendel Insurance ended. The let slip and allowed Emmanuel Ogobe (76′) score the leveler for Nasarawa United and earn the visitors a point.
“It was a good game, not because of the result, but because of the determination of my players – at least, everybody was determined to play,” Nikyu said after the game.
“I am happy to see that the boys are interested in getting something positive.”
The result would mean that Nasarawa United remain 9th in the group A after 11 games.
