Nigeria’s 2020 FIFA U20 women world cup bid Coordinator Mainasara Illo expects a favourable response from FIFA to officially award the Country the hosting rights.
Illo, during the inspection tour of venues and facilities, said contrary to views that FIFA handed Nigeria the chance to host, the Country actually submitted an official bid for the tournament.
“FIFA standards are FIFA standards, we had to submit a bid document 968 pages long which mean a lot of work done in substance and academics for such document,” Illo told footballlive.ng.
“We did that and they went through everything before deciding that we had a competent bid that will qualify for an inspection like this. We cannot assume that it’s all done until it is finally done.”
