Nigeria’s campaign at the U20 WAFU B Championship and the bid to reach next year’s AFCON tournament will face the biggest test when the team face Ivory Coast on Tuesday night.

After finishing top of Group B ahead of Burkina Faso and defending Champions Ghana, Nigeria moved into the last four and are now scheduled to play against the runner up of Group A.
One win and a draw earned the Flying Eagles their spot, which also could see the team secure an U20 AFCON ticket.
The tournament kicks off in February 2023, and only two teams from the WAFU B competition will be in Egypt.
Meanwhile, for Ivory Coast the journey to the semis was less of a hassle, the Young Elephants picked up six points from two wins and an L.
They finished second behind Benin Republic who recorded 2 wins and 1 draw. Hosts Niger and Togo were eliminated as they finished third and fourth respectively.
In the semi final pairings, Benin Republic will battle Burkina Faso in the first fixture of the second round.
Nigeria and Ivory Coast will then take center stage, kick off 8pm at the Stade General Seyni Kountché.
