Eze grabs Winner in Istanbulspor Defeat vs Giresunspor

Nigerian striker, Emeka Eze, made the difference as he scored an early goal to give his Turkish outfit, Istanbulspor a 1-0 victory over Giresunspor in their Super Lig matchday 32 clash.

Emeka scored in the 9th minute of the game off an assist from Eduard Rroca, bringing down his headed pass with a fine first-touch with his right foot, controlled and slammed home with a superb left foot into the roof of the net from just about eight yards out.

The goal would prove to be the clincher as Istanbulspor although the away side had the chance to get back into the game via a penalty in the 17th minute, but goalkeeper Jensen David denied Riad Bajic.

The second half got off to a rather rocky start as it saw three players carded in the space of 3 minutes.

Five minutes after the restart, central defender Deli Simon was issued a straight red, Ergun Onur was issued a yellow card in the 51st minute, while only a minute later, Bilazer Hayrullah of Giresunspor was shown a yellow card.

The game ended in similar fashion too, with three yellow cards in the space of 3 minutes as the away side frantically searched for an equalizer.

The win for the hosts made sure they stay above the relegation zone, with 5 points over Giresunspor in 16th place and just two behind Kasimpasa, and with a game in hand.
