Nigerian Player making retirement money in Ethiopian League


Former Super Eagles player Sunday Rotimi, who last played for Rivers United before he left the shores of this country to pitch tent with an Ethiopian club side is making what seems to be retirement money in the Ethiopian League.


It could be recalled that his first professional football career stated with Yobe Desert far back as May 6th , 1995 where he played for Yobe Desert. In 1999 he won the Coca Cola FA Cup with Plateau United , 2003 he was part of the team COGA, All African Games in Abuja, were Nigeria lost in the Final .

Sunday Rotimi was part of the Super Eagles set 2004,2005,2006, he was one of the first Nigerian0 player to ply his professional trade in the Israeli League before he returned back to the country.

He spent close to a decade with Dolphin Football Club before Dolphin and Sharks Fc was amalgamated to become Rivers United .

He left the shores of this country last year, but soon Sunday Rotimi might call it quit in football, but for now as the clock ticks he’s making what is seen to be retirement money.
