Former Super Falcons coach, Monsur Abdullahi has highlighted reasons for the slump in the team’s dominance in Africa.

Speaking with FL, Monsur explained that indigenous coaches should be handed the reigns of the Super Falcons.
He argued that the array of top Women’s football Coaches deserved the opportunity more and considers it “insulting” to employ a coach for the NT who has other commitments elsewhere.
‘Other African countries are catching up with Nigeria because women’s football is not being properly developed in the country,’ Monsur concluded.
The super falcons missed out on a third place finish at WAFCON 2022, losing 1-0 to Zambia in what was an underwhelming performance from the nine times Champions.
