Notts County of England forward, Kion Etete is bound to become the next Nigerian-born youngster to star for Tottenham Hotspur, as he is currently attracting interest from The Lilly Whites.

In what could be akin to Spurs’ success with the like of Bamidele Alli and Josh Onoma, footballive.ng gathered that the North London club have already welcomed Etete for a period of trial.

The lad is now making the bet of the opportunity, as Etete is impressing Tottenham technocrats, who had good marks for the 17-year-old after a week’s trial with the English Premier League club.

Etete’s spell at Spurs’ ground saw him get a game with their under-18 side against West Ham United last weekend, and he scored twice in a 5-3 win, in which Mauricio Pochettino’s son, Maurizio, put Spurs 1-0 up.

All fingers are now pointing in the direction of a repeat of the Dele Alli saga for Etete, who signed a professional contract with Notts County on his 17th birthday in November.

That was few weeks after he got his first team debut under the youth team’s then manager, Harry Kewell, as a 16-year-old in the Checkatrade Trophy against Newcastle United in October.
