Nigeria U20 showed character and grit to secure a 3-3 draw against Colombia U20 in what was a good test for Coach Ladan Bosso ahead of the FIFA U20 World Cup tournament this month.

Colombia U20 went ahead through an unfortunate Abel Ogwuche’s own goal in the 20th minute.

The South Americans then doubled the lead nine minutes after, however, the Flying Eagles were down but not beaten as Jude Sunday pulled one back for Nigeria just before the end of the first half.

Colombia once again went ahead just five minutes after the restart but Mohammed Beji and Emmanuel Umeh ensured the game ended evenly in what was a highly entertaining and educative 3-3 draw for the boys.

Nigeria will play the Dominican Republic in the first game of the U20 World Cup tournament before taking on Italy and Brazil in Group D.
