Nigeria U20 MNT Coach, Ladan Bosso, has promised that his team is focused and ready for Thursday’s, FIFA U20 World Cup, round of 16 fixture against Argentina.

On Wednesday night in San Juan, Nigeria will face the host nation for a spot in the quarter final.

Nigeria, finished third in Group D, behind Brazil and Italy who finished first and second respectively – all three teams finishing with six points.

By virtue of their final position, Nigeria progressed as one of the best third placed teams.

Argentina, tutored by former Liverpool and Barcelona midfielder, Javier Mascherano, finished top of their group with a 3-0 record.

The South Americans will enter the match as clear favourites, but, Bosso believes that the Flying Eagles can progress in the tournament.

“We have to fight for the trophy. I think it is still open. Everybody can be there, and I believe we have the capacity to be there.

“We are into the knockout stage, and there is an approach we can employ. Hopefully, we’d have our plans executed accordingly,” Bosso said.
