Super Falcons head coach, Randy Waldrum has issued an apology for his remarks about the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

NFF Technical Director, Augustine Eguavoen expressed his disappointment with Waldrum’s recent altercations with the Federation.

However, Eguavoen emphasized the importance of supporting the coach to ensure the team’s success at the upcoming Women’s World Cup in 2023.

Despite the discord the 66-year-old coach has retained his position and the NFF Director confirmed that the Coach acknowledged his mistakes and the issues have been resolved.

“I am not comfortable with what I have been reading. I spoke with him. He apologized, he said he didn’t mean it that way,” Eguavoen told reporters.

“He felt if he speaks with a couple of people things will change, but it is not like that here, Nigeria is different, and Africa is different.”

“But we have to do the right thing now, I’ve told him to just remain focused and forget about every other thing.

“Then as soon as the World Cup ends, we know what to do because everything coming up every now and then is a distraction for him and the team.”
