The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) declared that the Interim Management Committee (IMC) will remain in place for the foreseeable future.

It was further reported that a new board will be created for the NPFL, NNL, NWFL, and NWL One in the coming months.

The IMC’s current term will ends with the conclusion of the 2022/23 current NPFL season.

But, having recorded a significant level of success in the league this season so far, the NFF explained argued the need for the extension of the Management’s mandate beyond the end of the season.

The Gbenga Elegbeleye-led committee will continue as custodian of the NPFL and will work with the NFF to improve on the template that has proven to be successful this season.
