Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi was action for 90 minutes as Leicester City thrashed 10 man Southampton 9-0 at St Mary’s Stadium on Friday night.
The performance means Leicester has now equalled Manchester United’s 25-year record when they thumped Ipswich Town by the same scoreline.
Jamie Vardy scored four of the nine goals in the 45th, 58th and 90th minutes , while summer signing Ayoze Perez also bagged an hat-trick in the 19th, 39th and 57th minutes.
Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans was on target in the 17th minute, not leaving out the English duo of James Maddison and Ben Chilwell who were also on scores sheet.
Ndidi on his part had 90 touches of the ball, won one aerial duel, made one key pass, won seven tackles, had one interception, one clearance and committed three fouls and played for 90 minutes.
The result however earned Ndidi and his teammates a place in Premier League record book as the only side with the biggest away win in the Premier League history.
The victory Leicester moves them to second spot in the English Premier League table with 20 points, five adrift of leaders Liverpool.
