Wilfred Ndidi was taken off injured for Leicester in their 2-1 loss to Rennes in the UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday night.
Ndidi was replaced by James Madison on the hour mark, but the defeat didn’t matter much as Leicester City still advanced to the last 8 on aggregate goals scored.
Compatriots, Ademola Lookman and Kelechi Iheanacho were in action as well.
Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers confirmed after the game that it was a knee injury, but further examination was required to ascertain the extent of it.
This latest injury has sparked concerns as to whether Ndidi will be available to face Ghana a week today in the World Cup playoff game in Kumasi.
