Former Super Eagles defender, Onyemaobichukwu ‘Mobi’ Oparaku, has suggested that there are no similarities between the present National team and the old one.

Oparaku explained that nobody wants to do what is right or speak the truth regarding playing the right players.

He suggested that the people who make decisions in the present national team are all about their own pockets, rather than doing what is beneficial to the team.

The 1996 Olympic gold medalist revealed how he was discovered to play for his country.

He said the NFF coaching crew found him through the school sports program, something he suggested does not happen any longer.

‘The NFF crew went across the country to search for young talents, not even just then Eaglets coach, Fanny Amun.

‘All the boys who were scouted, would find their names published in a national newspaper for official invitation, and that’s how I joined the Golden Eaglets.’
