Rangers progressed into the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup after a narrow 1-0 win over ASC Kara in Enugu on Sunday.
After going down 2-1 in the first leg in Togo, Rangers leveled the aggregate in the return leg and progressed on away goals rule; 2-2 on aggregate.
Chinonso Eziekwe scored the only goal of the game for Rangers in the 17th minute of the keenly contested match.
The goal was enough to send the 1977 champions through to the next round of the competition.
Meanwhile, Nigeria’s second representatives, Enyimba defeated their host TS Galaxy 2-1 on Sunday.
The Nigerian Champions ran out 4-1 winners; on aggregate, to seal group stage qualification.
