Serie A Champions, Napoli are willing to offer Victor Osimhen a significant salary increase from his current €4.5 million, as reward for an impressive season, that saw him score 25 league goals, earning him the Capocannoniere award.

Napoli will present €7 million to Osimhen, and he could become the highest-paid player in Napoli’s history, a reflection of his importance to the team and also his status as one of the best strikers in the whole of Europe.

However, the Club do not intend to exceed their salary cap with the Forward’s offer and in order to balance the financial commitment of this lucrative deal, Napoli plan to make strategic cuts to their wage structure.

Meanwhile, club President Aurelio De Laurentiis has proposed a “reduced” release clause for the 24 year-old Nigerian, which is set at half of Osimhen’s current €150 million market value.

However, this clause would not become valid immediately, but instead in the following season.

This means that Osimhen will have two more seasons in the iconic Napoli blue before he would have the freedom to explore other opportunities.
