Super Eagles Striker Victor Osimhen was in action for 90 minutes as Napoli defeated Empoli 2-0 at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium.

It was a very difficult night for the host as they came up against a resolute Empoli side, Napoli boasted of 75% of possession as they struggled to break down Empoli with the first half ending in a stalemate.

As usual Victor Osimhen was a menace but somehow failed to find the back of the net despite attempting 4 shots in total, ending a four-game scoring streak in Serie A.

He however had a hand in the first goal as he was clumsily brought down in the box to give Napoli the penalty that Hirving Lozano squeezed past Vicaro in the 69th minute.

Empoli still held on and looked dangerous on the counter but a second yellow card for Sebastiano Luperto in the 74th Minute gave Napoli a clearer pathway and the visitors struggled playing with 10 men.

Piotr Zielinski got the second goal late for Napoli to give the host their tenth League victory on the trout.
