Napoli President De Laurentiis Wants to Keep Osimhen

Despite major clubs across Europe expressing interest in signing Napoli’s star player Victor Osimhen, President Aurelio De Laurentiis has made it clear that he will not be selling the player in the upcoming transfer window.

Osimhen made history on Thursday as his goal secured the first Serie A title for Napoli in 33 years.

 

 

His strike against Udinese was enough for the Azzurri to clinch the coveted Scudetto after three decades.

President of the club, De Laurentiis, declared that he expects a majority of the squad to remain for the upcoming season, in addition to making arrangements for a new contract for manager Luciano Spalletti.

“I will not sell Victor Osimhen this summer — no way,” he told Rai.

“I’ve already activated and triggered the option to extend Luciano Spalletti’s contract for next season.”

Victor Osimhen is on his way to making history as the first African to secure the Italian Serie A Golden Boot.

The 24-year-old striker has scored an impressive 22 goals this season, putting him at the top of the standings, and because of his impressive goalscoring exploits this season, he has attracted interest from several European clubs and his market value is set to 100 Million Euros.
