FC Nantes manager, Antoine Kombouaré has revealed he’s confident Moses Simon will find his best form.

The winger has dropped in form compared to how impressive he was for the French side last season, he has scored only five goals and laid on three assists in 23 matches this season.

Yet, since scoring in a 2-2 draw with Ajaccio last November, he hasn’t scored in any of his last 10 league games.

Before the match against Lyon, Kombouaré addressed the media and talked about Simon.

“He’s not the only one having difficulties. I think he reflects the image of the team. When you’re 14th in Ligue 1, there are a lot of players below their level.

“But if we compare with last year, we have outperformed. All of them, yes. This year, there was Europe, the repetition of the posters but yes, he knows that he is experiencing difficulties, that He has to work.

“The explanations? We discuss, we exchange. For him, nothing has changed. He must do what it takes to become the Moses Simon we know.”

“Afterwards, in terms of his marking, he often has two defenders on his back, sometimes three. Opponents are also more vigilant.”

“We know he has to work, vary his races, his dribbling. But I trust him.

“We need him for this end of the season, for maintenance and the Coupe de France.”
