Ahmed Musa returned to the starting XI for Karagumruk in a Super Lig match against Yeni Malatyaspor on Friday.
Musa was left on the bench last week after returning from international duty with Nigeria, but was handed a starter’s berth and played the entire duration yesterday.
Although the Nigerian didn’t score, Karagumruk went on to win convincingly, beating Yeni 4-0 at the Yeni Malatya Stadyumu.
The win move them, temporarily, to third in the standings, tied on 10 points with a game more than the four other teams in the top 5.
Meanwhile, in another Super Lig match on Friday, Obinna Nwobodo was on the losing side with Goztepe.
The 24 year-old midfielder making appearance number five for the team this season, played the entire duration.
But it was a bad day in the office for the visitors, they fell 2-1 to Altay.
Goztepe new signing, Nigerian forward Brown Ideye was an unused substitute.
