Mubaraq Gata happy to make ABS debut

Date:

Mubaraq Gata has said that he is delighted to have made his senior debut for ABS FC.
Gata made his first senior appearance for the Saraki Boys in a 1-0 win on Sunday over Kaduna United.
It was Gata who was hacked down in the box in the 21th minute after he had dribbled through the defense of the visitors in the match day 14 Nigeria National League (NNL) before Great Osamuyi, converted the chance for the only goal of the game.
The 17-year-old appearance on Sunday means he completed a hat-trick appearance for the Gata brothers for the Saraki Boys.
Both Ismaila and Issa had represented the Saraki Boys before now, with Issa leaving on loan to Akwa United a season ago.
“It is a dream come through for me on Sunday to have made my senior team appearance.
“I have been playing for the U-15 for the past few years now and I have dreamt to play for the senior team.
“I want to thank our Director of Football, Alloy Chukwuemeka, for giving me the opportunity to follow my brothers’ footstep.
“I want to also thank my coach, (Suleiman Quadri) and Coach Taofik Babatunde, who have both seen me develop through the rank.
“Now, I want to pay the club back by giving my best whenever I am called to play,” Gata said.
The youngster also expressed gratitude to the proprietor of the club Dr. Bukola Saraki for creating the platform that helped the family to produce 3 top football stars.
Gata is the second U-17 player to play for ABS in the last 7 days, having seen Golden Eaglets star, Oluwasegun Olakunle shone like a million star in match day 13 against NAF FC of Abuja.
