Mozambique have a chance of reaching the quarter-final of the U20 Africa Cup of Nations, to underrate them could prove costly, former Nigerian CB Godwin Okpara has warned.

In the final group A match, Nigeria will face the East African side, and though the Flying Eagles are favorites, Okpara has urged the team to still give their very best.

The Nigerian side will be aiming to secure maximum points when they face Mozambique and Okpara has warned them not to underrate the opponent.

“The game against Mozambique is not a walk over, we have to go there and play our game,” the former Nigeria International told FL.

“In football, there are a lot of surprises, even at the World Cup every body expected Germany to qualify out if there group and there were so many surprises.

“So, we can’t say the game against Mozambique will be stroll in the park. If they can use that game to step up their game, it will count for them.”
