Winger Moses Simon was on for 90 minutes but failed to find goalscoring touch as Nantes fell 2-0 away to Bordeaux.
Moses was shut out in Matmut Atlantique, four days before the Nigeria international found the back of the net three times in the Coup de la Ligue.
On Sunday, Francois Kamano and Ui-Jo Hwang were the heroes for the host, who had Samuel Kalu on the bench and Josh Maja come on six minutes.
Moses has hit the back of the net twice in 10 league games for the club.
He will join Samuel Kalu and their Super Eagles teammates later this month for the 2021 AFCON qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho.
