Francis Momoh had an inspiring performance at the weekend, hitting a hat-trick to lift Grasshoppers Club Zurich in the Swiss Super League clash against Laussane Ouchy, on Sunday.

It was a relegation scrap and Grasshoppers needed a big performance, one which their 22 year-old Nigerian forward obliged.

Momoh got a rare start on Sunday at the Letzigrund Stadion and he put his poor start to the season behind him to produce a sublime performance.

He scored his first league goal of the season and the game’s opener in the 26th minute and followed up with a second two minutes later.

The former Heartland player completed his hat-trick in the second half (51′) wrapping up a 5-2 victory for the hosts.

So far in the current season, the forward has made only seven appearances and has started only three times.
