OGC Nice are not enjoying a good run at the moment following up their Europa Conference League elimination with a 2-1 home defeat to Clermont Foot in Ligue 1.

On Sunday at the Allianz Riviera, Nice chased the game but ultimately lost and are now seven games without a win (4L,3D).

Clermont Foot took the lead in the 37th minute through Muhammed Cham but the hosts responded almost immediately with an equalizer through Gaetan Laborde.

Despite being the better team in the game one would have expected Nice to go on to win the game after the equalizer, but, they struggled to make their chances count and they duly paid for it.

Saif- Eddine Khaoui scored the winner for Clermont with a 83rd minute strike, which also sent then a place above Nice in the standing.

The recent results now mean that a return to European football next season is a near impossible task.

Since scoring a brace against Basel, Moffi has now gone three games without a goal and he will be aiming to find his scoring boots when they visit Troyes next.
