Terem Moffi netted his sixth league goal of the season, equalling last season’s tally, when on Friday night FC Lorient breezed past Auxerre 3-1 at Stade de l’Abbé-Deschamps.
Moffi scored the second goal of the night as Lorient’s strong first half performance saw them put three past the hosts.
It was the Nigerian’s sixth goal in his last six games, failing to record a goal contribution in only two games in that period.
The 23 year-old is Lorient’s top scorer this season in Ligue 1 and the club have impressed so far, moving to third on the standings after 8 games.
Last campaign, the Forward struggled, scoring six times in 37 League matches (he’s third in the top scorers standings this season).
