Moffi bags brace in Lorient’s victory against Clermont


FC Lorient fought hard to seal a 2-1 win against 10-man Clermont Foot at Stade du Moustoir in the Ligue 1 on Sunday, and Nigerian forward Terem Moffi inspired the outcome.

Moffi netted a brace against Toulouse, opening his goals account for the season.
He scored his first from the penalty spot in the 24th minute and added a second in the 41st minute for Lorient to close the half with a healthy lead.
After the restart, Clermont Foot were reduced to 10 men, Brazilian full-back Neto Borges was sent off after he picked up his second yellow card.
Despite the one man advantage, Clermont got a foot stuck in the door when they halved the deficit in the 62nd minute.
However, the hosts will see the go out and pick up the second maximum points in their third league game of the season.
