It was a night of joy and disappointment for Super Eagles players who represented their respective clubs in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.

Calvin Bassey had a horror show as he and his defensive partner, Jurrien Timber were sent to the cleaners in their 6-1 loss to Napoli.

Victor Osimhen was not in the squad for that game, as he did not pass the late fitness test that would have enable him play.

Meanwhile, Raphael Onyedika was instrumental in ensuring Atletico Madrid left Belgium without a goal or point.

The Nigerian midfielder gave a masterful performance for Club Brugge, but also got booked on the stroke of half time, as he was cautioned for tugging on an Opponent’s shirt.

In Portugal, Left back Zaidu Sanusi had a fantastic night, playing off the bench to score and inspire Porto to a 2-0 victory against Bayer Leverkusen.
