Mikel Agu Faces £1.80m Price Hike At Porto

Date:

Vitoria Setubal of Portugal midfielder, Mikel Ndubuisi Agu appears heading for an escalating transfer value and hike in price at his parent club, FC Porto, who footballlive.ng gathered want to sell him for more than £1.80m.

With Agu appearing to attract frenetic interest in France and Italy, heading into the January transfer window, Porto are reportedly eager to cash in on rising interest being shown in the Super Eagles returnee.

This is sequel to fresh reports that Olympique Marseille are stepping up their interest in Agu, who starred for all 90 minutes last weekend against Sporting Braga, but his top form in the encounter could not save his side from losing 2-1.

Agu is currently valued at £1.80m, but could cost more than that, as Porto are known for making profits from their sale of players.

An escalated asking price could not be on the cards from Porto for Agu, after Marseille sent scouts to spy on him against Braga during Sunday’s Primeira Liga match at Estádio Municipal.

The 25-year-old product of Benin City-based BJ Foundation, who has also spent time on loan at Club Brugge and Bursaspor, is also said to be attracting interest from Villarreal of Spain Juventus of Italy.
