Midfield maestro Alex Iwobi played the entire match and supplied an important assist as Everton thrashed Brighton 5-1 in a Premier League match at the AMEX Stadium, on Monday.

Iwobi set it up for Dwight McNeil’s goal in the 76th minute, capping off an impressive performance from the Toffees with the win coming off as a surprise to many, given the form of Roberto de Zerbi’s team are in.

This term, Iwobi has improved his personal stats at the club, contributing 9 goals in 35 matches – two goals and seven assists.

As a result of the victory, Everton moved from 19th position to 17th position on the log, two points clear of Leicester, who lost 5-3 to Fulham earlier in the day.
