MFM left-back Jonathan Zikiye admits that the departure of experience players has weakened the team but revealed this current crop of players are ready to make history with the team.
MFM are third on the Nigeria Professional Football League Group B log , behind Rangers and Enyimba who have bigger and experience players.
Zikiye believes, the race for the playoff spots is not about the strength of the squad or big names , but about who wants it most.
“At MFM, we do not have the big names or the big names , but what matters most is that we have players who have the passion and hunger to succeed and that has been the major factor leading the team”.
He added; that his side still believes in their ability to nick a playoff spot come end of the season.
“Although we are third now, we are still pushing forward and still hopeful to move up. We have not lost hope in anyway because we believe by the end of the season, we will see ourself where we plan to be”, he said.
