MFM FC Captain Abayomi Folarin believes the team still has a fighting chance to stay up in the NPFL for next season.
Speaking with FL after the Team’s victory in the Lagos State FA cup match against Joy Cometh FC 1-0, the MFM FC goalkeeper urged fans to remain calm as they battle relegation.
He reiterated that with the Fans fully behind the Players, they will survive against all odds against them.
MFM FC are rock bottom of the NPFL table after thirty-three rounds of matches this season with 37 points and they play Enyimba FC on Sunday.
The goalkeeper believes his side can go all the way to win this season’s FA cup and also do the unthinkable by escaping relegation.
Folarin cited the club had been in a similar situation in the 2014/2015 season, but turned things around to remain in the premier division.
