Arsenal winger, Gabriel Martinelli has named his footballing icon, but true Gunners may not be best satisfied with his Choice.

Martinelli joined Arsenal in July 2019 from Brazilian side Ituano, and extended his stay with the North London side until 2027.

The 21-year-old has played a key role in Mikel Arteta’s team, getting a title charge out of his best-scoring season at the Emirates.

“If you were talking about footballers, the person I looked up to was always Cristiano Ronaldo,” he said. “I used to watch him a lot when I was growing up, I loved his style.”

While speaking to the Arsenal’s website during an interview, Martinelli revealed that he had always admired Cristiano Ronaldo, “I adored his fashion.”

Martinelli is Arsenal’s joint top scorer this season within the alliance along side Martin Odegaard.

Whereas few can contend with Ronaldo’s accomplishments, Arsenal fans would have wished the Brazilian picked a Player who has no Manchester United affiliation.
