Marseille, Wolverhampton Enter Musa’s Transfer Race

Date:

Leicester City could end up losing Nigeria’s new rave of the moment, Ahmed Musa this summer, as English Premier League newcomers, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Olympique Marseille of France are now both in the race for the attacker’s signature.

So soon after Musa hit global headlines with two well taken goals against Iceland at the ongoing World Cup, the fleet-footed former Kano Pillars star, who played last season on loan at CSKA Moscow of Russia, is also wanted by Galatasaray of Turkey.

However, the Turkish Super Lig champions fear Musa’s form in Russia has alerted rival suitors, after scoring twice in the Super Eagles’ 2-0 win over Iceland last week Friday.

Though Musa struggled to have an impact at Leicester and ended last season on loan at his former club, Wolves and Marseille have entered the race for the 25-year-old attacker, who Galatasaray have made their summer transfer priority.

Musa’s agent, William D’avila revealed: “We are in talks with Galatasaray, they have made an offer and want Ahmed.

“Musa has offers from other clubs but he’s keen on playing for Galatasaray. The transfer is a possibility, Galatasaray are a big club and will compete in the Champions League next season.

“We are currently working on a loan deal with an option to buy. He’ll make a decision soon. I think we can say there’s a 50% chance of Musa joining the club.”
