A footballer in Malawi recently received a live chicken as an award for his Man of the Match performance.
A couple of years ago, Mamelodi Sundowns star Hlompho Kekana received five gigs of data as a Man of the Match award.
Another “bizarre” Man of the Match award came to light recently, according to The Sun, when a Malawian footballer was awarded with a live chicken after scoring a brace for his team Nyasa Big Bullets.
Named Hassan Kajoke, the player was handed the bird by a fan after a convincing 5-0 win over Karonga United.
