Girondins-Bordeaux of France striker, Josh Maja has revealed the deep level of love he holds for both Barcelona of Spain and Arsenal of England, but says he would prefer playing for The Gunners in future.
Footballlive.ng gathered that, while Maja is yet to reenact the top goals scoring form he enjoyed before leaving Sunderland to join Samuel Kalu at Bordeaux in January, he is eager of returning to England one day.
Maja added that his desire to return to England would be to fulfill a long held ambition of playing in the English Premier League, and he will really prefer making it happen at Arsenal, which he described as his local club.
The 20-year-old former Super Eagles’ invitee, whose moved from League One in England with Sunderland to Bordeaux in the French Ligue 1 after impressive performances in the North East, says the EPL is his next view.
Maja expatiated: “I support Barcelona and Arsenal, because they’re my local team.
“Of course, I’d really like to play in the team with which I grew up. It would be great.
“It’s clear the Premier League is one of the best in the world, with the best teams.
“I hope to play there one day, but for now I’m with Bordeaux, I want to succeed here and we’ll see about the rest later.”
