Former Nigerian goalkeeper, Dosu Joseph believes there are too many talents in the country and beyond who are enough to be given the opportunity to vie for the Super Eagles goalkeeping spot.

Dosu, who won Olympic Gold in 1996 with the Dream Team, insists current Nigeria number 1, Maduka Okoye, needs competition.
Speaking on Brila FM, the former Eagles prospect argued for equal opportunity to be given to the home based goalkeepers and those outside the country.
‘There would not be a cause for panic in the goalkeeping department, if there was an open field for more competition. Even Maduka isn’t getting game time at his current club side,’ Dosu maintains
Maduka Okoye finally made his debut for Watford, however it ended in a rather sour note as Watford lost 2-0 against MK Dons in the second round of the League Cup.
