Former Super Falcons’ gaffer, Ismaila Mabo has called on the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) to plan ahead to have a Nigerian handle the team after Thomas Dennerby’s exit.
Mabo told Brila that the idea of having a foreign coach handle the Falcons does not seem right while urging the NFF to turn to retired Falcons players to tinker the team.
“I don’t believe in the idea of having a foreign coach for the Falcons, we need to go back to the Omagbemis, Eucharias, Agumanus of this world. These pioneers of football are well trained coaches now and i am appealing to the NFF to think about bringing them back.”
The Super Falcons are currently in France sweating it out at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. An opening defeat against Norway has condemned the Thomas Dennerby tinkered side to go all out for a win against Korea in their next group match on Wednesday.
