Leganes of Spain defender, Kenneth Omeruo’s brother, Lucky, is eyeing an early debut with the Spanish top-flight club’s B-team, as he aims to hit the ground running in a lower division game against DAV Santa.

While thanking his brother for making the fresh deal at Leganes possible, Lucky Omeruo added that it is now up to him to make his personal marks with the club.

Footballlive.ng can report that the new arrival is also thinking big about his chances of joining his more famous sibling in the Leganes main squad, as he arrives with experience gained from playing top-flight football in Lithuania.

He will, however, not be seen in La Liga action for now, as the B-squad line out in Spain’s Tercera Division.

Omeruo 2, though, has set his mind on excelling in the upcoming match day 29 fixture, just two days after the 23-year-old joined Los Pepineros in a year’s deal with an option of another.

He admitted he was excited to get the deal, after a successful period on trial, following the expiration of his contract with Planga of Lithuania.

Omeruo’s sibling said: “My brother is someone that has always believed in me and supported me throughout my career.

“He was the one that arranged for me to come for trials at CD Leganés immediately after my season in Lithuania.

“I trained with him today and the first team and I was even on his side and that really felt good playing with him.

“Hopefully, I will get the chance to play a competitive match with him very soon. I feel really good and thankful to God for this opportunity.

“I really need to work very hard to make the first team; but I do believe I have what it takes to make it to the first team.”
