Lorient show interest in Chidozie Awaziem

French Ligue 1 side FC Lorient are reported to be interested in the services of Nigerian defender Chidozie Awaziem and could make a move for the player this summer.

Awaziem who recently joined Boavista from FC Porto on a five-year deal is a highly rated defensive player.
The 24 year-old had previously played on loan at Ligue 1 side Nantes under Claudio Ranieri and was a stand out performer
FL sources suggest the deal to take him back to the French elite division is in the works, but no formal bid has been made.
Awaziem cost Boavista €5 million and they could get more from the sale of the Nigerian international who has been one of the team’s better players this season.
While the transfer window in both France and Portugal closes August 31, there’s a five day grace period to complete deals already initiated
However, it is unclear if the player will stay back in Portugal awaiting official word on a likely move as he was involved in club duties at the Weekend.
Yet, He is expected to join his international teammates in Nigeria for next month’s FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Liberia and Cape Verde.
