Ademola Lookman contributed an assist as Atalanta decisively beat Lazio 2-0 at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday.

Lookman was lively throughout his stay on the pitch before he was replaced in the 90th minute.

He also went close to scoring, his shot stinging the goalkeeper’s gloves in the first half, to add to his defensive role playing in a two-man attack for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side.

The LWF played a part in his side’s opening goal too, as he forced a defender into a lose clearance that fell for Davide Zappacosta.

Zappacosta went for precision rather than power as he curled the ball home to fire the visitors ahead in the 23rd minute.

In the second half, a swift transition into attack released Lookman on the left and the player was timely to cross a low ball, beating the goal keeper to find Rasmund Holjund for an easy tap in at the far end.

The win secured in the 65th minute, moved Atalanta to third place on the table after 22 rounds of matches.
