The spokesperson of the League Management Company, LMC Harry Iwuala says the dates reported by some section of the media as regards the commencement of the NPFL is false.
There were reports that the 2019/20 NPFL will begin on September 22, but Iwuala has come out debunked the reports as mere speculation.
Iwuala however said the authentic date for the commencement of the League will be communicated in due course.
Enyimba won the last edition of the NPFL after their triumph at the Super 6 hosted in Lagos.
The people’s Elephant will subsequently represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League, alongside runners up Kano Pillars.
