A video has surfaced on social media showing Liverpool midfielder, Thiago Alcantara on crutches leaving his team’s hotel in Barcelona, taking pictures with fans.

Earlier this month, Liverpool released a statement that the 32 year-old would miss the remainder of the season, with the Spaniard set to undergo surgery.

Although, the injury hasn’t stopped Thiago from joining his teammates on a relaxing break in Barcelona as a result of a long break between games.

The reds are currently on a six-game winning streak in the Premier League, which has reignited their race for the Champions League qualification which looked impossible a month ago.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are currently 5th in the EPL table with just four points behind fourth-placed Manchester United , having played one game more than Erik ten Hag’s men.

Sadly, they will continue the race without competent midfielder, Thiago, who has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a hip injury.

Thiago’s current contract will expire by the end of this season but with his commitment to travel and play with his mates gives a gleam of hope that he’s here to stay for another period of years.
