Former Adamawa United Chairman, Emmanuel Zira has lamented the state of the domestic league in the country saying it no longer sustains the domestic players.

Zira argues that the situation has worsened to the extent that players from the league in Nigeria seek greener pasture in a lesser Countries.
The former Football Chief told FL that NPFL league players prefer to play football in Togo, the Benin Republic, and Sierra Leone reasons that there are no more opportunities for them at home anymore.
‘Those destroying the system will still go and invite these players to bring them back to the national team as foreign-based players to play for the team.’
