Nigerian Forward Victor Osimhen scored his first goal away from home but OSC Lille suffered a heavy defeat to Valencia in the UEFA Champions League clash at the Mestalla on Tuesday.

Osimhen scored the opening in a game Lille went on to lose 4-1 and drop hard to the bottom of their group.

In his previous seven away games the Yong Nigerian had failed to register a goal away from Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

The youngster finally got his name on scorers sheet, brilliantly beating goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen in the 25th minute to put his side ahead.

Valencia, however, fought back with four second-half goals including three in eight minutes to turn the tie on its head and grab all three points leaving Lille in search of a first win in the competition.

Osimhen’s goal at the Mestalla makes it his second in the champions league this season and his ninth goal in sixteen appearances for the Great Danes in all competitions.
