Lille manager, Christophe Galtier says his team is well equipped to cope with the absence of Nigeria forward, Victor Osimhen in today’s French Ligue 1 tie against PSG.
Osimhen will sit out the Parc des Princes clash against Thomas Tuchel’s side, due to suspension.
The 20-year old has scored seven goals in 13 league appearances for the club.
Despite the Nigeria international huge importance to the team, Galtier believes other strikers will live up to expectation.
“In our attack, we have Victor who is the most efficient, but other strikers can and know how to score,” Galtier told a news conference on Thursday.
Centre-back Jose Fonte also shared his gaffer’s view and added that other forwards must step in Osimhen’s absence.
“Victor (Osimhen) is an important player, he will not be here tomorrow, he will be suspended, that’s how it is, we have a very good team with solutions, and other players need to understand this. They need to make use of the opportunity,” Fonte told reporters.
