Lewandowski steals show with hat-trick on Samson Tijani’s UCL debut

Samson Tijani made his Champions League debut for Salzburg in their 1-7 drubbing at the hands of Bayern at the Allianz Arena.

Tijani returned to his parent club, RB Salzburg from Austrian second division side Liefering this season but had made only four appearances for the club – a total of 72 minutes – before Tuesday’s game.
However on Tuesday he came off the bench in the final 23 minutes of the game with his side trailing 5-0 – four of those were scored in the first half in a one-man Robert Lewandowski show.
The Bayern Munich number 9 bagged a Twenty-three minutes hat-trick before Serge Gnabry and Thomas Muller got their names on the scoresheet.
There was a consolation strike for the Austrian side and it came through Maurits Kjaergaard (70′), but Bayern Munich restored their five-goal lead, Muller with his second on the night before Leroy Sane wrapped up the goals.
Tijani, 19, had previously played on loan at TSV Hartberg in Austria’s top division before his second loan move.
He plays primarily as a Midfielder, but has also be deployed as a Center back.
