Leicester City Manager, Brendan Rodgers left birthday boy Kelechi Iheanacho on the bench on Monday night, if that disappointed the Forward, the outcome of the Premier League match against Nottingham Forest wouldn’t.

Iheanacho watched the entire game from the bench at the King Power Stadium, a scrap battle between the bottom two in the PL, and to the relief of Rodgers his side steamrolled their opponents to secure maximum points and a first league win this season.

Three quick goals inside ten minutes; from minute 25 , gave the Foxes an unassailable lead.

A brace from James Maddison, either side of Harvey Barnes’ goal saw the former PL Champions score goals for the first time in league this season.

Substitute, Patson Daka sealed the dominant show with the fourth goal which came in the 73rd minute off a Maddison assist.

Meanwhile, Wilfred Ndidi got minutes on the night, the Midfielder, who has been a injury concern, was handed 45minutes.

For the Opponent, Taiwo Awoniyi started for Forest, his eight appearance, but his night ended in the 62nd minute when he was replaced by compatriot and fellow summer buy, Emmanuel Dennis.

With the result, Leicester move a place above Nottingham Forest to 19th spot – but only because of a superior goals difference.
